Pregnancy Highlights

If you are pregnant, you do not have to do it alone!  Pregnant women can receive prenatal Healthy Start services that help provide support, referrals, and education to help them have a healthy baby.  In addition, utilize the MomCare Program that assists women with Pregnancy Medicaid guidance in selecting prenatal care providers and scheduling their initial prenatal visits.  Access to care is important.  The health of a woman prior to pregnancy has the largest impact on birth outcomes.

Research has shown that babies born to healthy moms are more likely to be healthy themselves.  There are many things women can do before, during, and after pregnancy to ensure their babies have a healthy start in life.  Are you thinking about having a baby? If your answer is yes, now is the time to start planning and preparing for your pregnancy.  The decisions you and your partner do to get ready before you get pregnant will help your baby get the best start possible.
